Our dedicated staff is here to help!
Mr. Kelly K. Brown
Originally from New York City, Mr. Brown graduated from Reed College and decided to become a bankruptcy attorney in Portland, Oregon upon its completion. After earning a degree from McGeorge School of Law, he became a bankruptcy attorney in 1983. He considers working with those seeking debt relief the most rewarding, since it allows his clients move forward, far from the burdens of old debts and onto a better future. Outside of his practice, his off-hours interests include renovating old houses, re-enacting American Civil War battles, sailing, folk dancing, and studying the Vietnamese language (his accent is dreadful). His faults include drinking too much coffee and spending too many hours in the office.
Ms. Jen C. Oppenlander
Jen was born and raised in Portland. She attended Everest College and received a Paralegal Studies degree in 2006. She began working for Kelly K. Brown in 2005 and thoroughly enjoys helping clients through the process of bankruptcy. At the office she pretends to be amused by politely laughing at Kelly’s bad jokes. In her off hours she enjoys spending time with her three children, reading, and running around outdoors.
Ms. Susan Applegate
Susan was born in Washington state but, being an army brat, she was raised in Alaska, Oregon, Arkansas, California, and Berlin. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, she went on to obtain her MAT from Reed College, after which she spent her career as a publication designer. Susan does Kelly’s bookkeeping, and makes sure he eats lunch. Her interests include watercoloring, hiking, and enjoying her five grandchildren. Susan no longer laughs at Kelly’s bad jokes, since she is married to him.
